The first reissue of Sandbox since 2004 has been scheduled for later this year.
Announced by Scat Records, Sandbox, the second studio album by indie rock band Guided by Voices will be reissued later this year at a currently unknown date with “at least a chance it will be released before the end of 2022.” Sandbox, which has never been reissued on vinyl except as part of a box set release in 2004, has become a valuable collector’s item for fans of the band with market price currently around $500 USD+ for an original pressing. With the reissue, fans will finally be able to own a vinyl copy of Sandbox without breaking the bank or breaking into someone’s house to take one.

- Clear with blue and yellow swirls (Scat Records only)
All on a tip-on jacket.
Originally released in 1987 with 1000 original pressings, Sandbox takes a turn on power pop acts such as Cheap Trick and Big Star infuses the stylings of then-underground alternative rock.
